Bordertown 03:31
BORDERTOWN Ron Martin and John M. Carter (BMI) I was born in a border town Just beyond the line I grew up in a border town Full of many lies I was taught in a red brick school The teacher taught me well Said if I didn’t bend the rules I wouldn’t go to hell All my life I’ve been running away Up the land and down Every time I’d go away I’d return … border town Now that I am an older man And I’m looking back I see that they didn’t mean no harm Just try to cut some slack I grew up in a Baptist Church The Preacher talked to me Said if I didn’t do unto others They wouldn’t do that to me All my life I’ve been running away Up the land and down Every time I’d go away I’d return … border town Every time you think you’ve found The answers to the dreams So the winds of change would blow Back to what it seems Instr. break I was born in a border town Just beyond the line I grew up in a border town Full of many lies All my life I’ve been running away Up the land and down Every time I’d go away I’d return … border town … Border town … border town

My Brother 04:29
8 - MY BROTHER Music: Marco Zanzi Lyrics: Francesco Frugiuele I hear my brother singing just beside my voice He picks his mandolin with some brand new kind of joy We just know we’re not too old to feel this young Playing with the sounds Tapping on the ground With our souls so deeply bound Ho un fratello che mi porta un po’ più in là Dove l’aria sa di erba e libertà L’altro lato dell’oceano è qui per me Non ci sono se So soltanto che So soltanto che si va Hear my calling brother join me as I sing Tu lo sai che sono pronto dammi un mi Can’t you feel the air that flows beneath your wings Mentre suono sono li Hear my calling brother join me as I sing Tu lo sai che sono pronto dammi un mi Can’t you feel the air that flows beneath your wings Mentre suono sono li I hear my brother singing just beside my voice He picks his mandolin with some brand new kind of joy We just know we’re not too old to feel this young Playing with the sounds Tapping on the ground With our souls so deeply bound © 2011 MARCO ZANZI (SUISA) & FRANCESCO FRUGIUELE

SPRINGTIME FLOWERS Ron Martin Cold steel sky over the mountain Smoke is rising thru the whispering pines Firelight glowing thru the window pane and I’m On my way home to you again Told you that I’d see you by Christmas But time and the miles have taken their toll Your name is the same as the day that I left you And I’m going to make you mine again Oh, Darling the time has come When God has brought me back to you We’ll be together tonight and always And watch the Springtime Flowers bloom Your face is the heart of my daydreams For three long years that I’ve been away Fighting for a cause I can’t remember Virginia seems a million miles away Oh, Darling the time has come When God has brought me back to you We’ll be together tonight and always And watch the Springtime Flowers bloom © RONALD L MARTIN (BMI)

about

Stepping off the train at Milan station we were feeling excited as we made our way through the side streets looking for Teatro Sala Fontana. This was the theatre that the Piedmont Brothers would be performing at tonight. As we approached the locals looking for directions we realised that this was an event that meant a lot to everyone in involved. We had travelled half way around the world to be part of this historic night and our friends and brothers would be performing.
The Piedmont Brothers core members are Ron Martin and Marco Zanzi. They had formed the band back in 2006 and released the cd "Bordertown" in 2008 to critical acclaim. The concert in Milan was to promote their second release "Lights Of Your Party". Ron Martin had flown over from the USA to perform and they were backed from members of OutofSize and other guests.
The audience at Teatro Sala Fontana really got behind the band and enjoyed the bluegrass, folk and country rock music that was performed that night.
Sitting in the audience and feeling the buzz from the crowd was priceless. Ron and Marco delivered an outstanding performance which is now captured on this live recording.
If you were not part of this crowd then this CD will illustrate the power of the music and brothership that was present on stage that night.

Sit back and enjoy this concert.
My friends and yours..... The Piedmont Brothers Band
